Here's a short swordfighting bio:

Mike Sakuta and Nicole Harsch began performing swordfighting stunt shows together while both were undergraduates at the University of Michigan. The duo sharpened their performance skills before hundreds of thousands of people throughout the Eastern U.S. and in Canada. They've entertained at numerous banquets, corporate parties and schools, and have been a featured stage act at the following Renaissance Festivals: Michigan (8 yrs), Georgia (7 yrs), Ohio (5 yrs), Maryland (2 yrs), Louisiana (2 yrs), Florida (2 yrs) and Alabama. They have also appeared on TV and as fictional characters in the fantasy novels Under the Wild Moon by Diane Carey and The Cataclysm by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman.

While working on their doctoral degrees at Emory University's Graduate School Nicole and Mike were hired to perform corporate swordfighting shows in such diverse places as Orlando, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, New York City, Tucson, Honolulu, Boise, Boston, Atlanta, Kansas City, Little Rock, and Toronto-to name a few. Recently, they've been hired to perform in Europe in such locations as Blackpool, England; Paris, France; Berlin, Germany; and Moscow, Russia.

In addition to performing, they've served as fight directors for six years worth of Georgia Renaissance Festivals and they've choreographed theatrical swordfights for many, many plays including: Hamlet, Cyrano, Camelot, Caesar and Cleopatra, Robin Hood, Romeo & Juliet, and I Hate Hamlet.

They have also appeared as swordfighting models in the 1993 Dragonlance fantasy calendar, in collectible game cards, as main characters on the covers of two fantasy paperback books, as lead actors in a documentary film about Hernando DeSoto, as stunt coordinators on local Atlanta-area TV shows and as performers in two nationally syndicated TV documentaries shown recently on cable stations TBS and A&E.

Nicole Harsch and Mike Sakuta are internationally known as the swordfighting duo The Crossed Swords!
